4 2013 Apr 18 Update! Owl In a Cave Update
Read More1 / 1
This update inlcudes the first pictures of the Male and Female Great Horned Owl at the cave nest. For the first time in 2 years I was able to photograph them both at the nesting site. The incubation period ranges from 28 to 37 days, averaging 33 days. The female alone does all the incubation and rarely moves from the nest, while the male owl captures food and brings it to her.
